Education, Skills and Experience
- Current post-secondary student, college or university (must be returning to school in Fall 2025)
- Enrollment in a library technician or recreational/educational program would be an asset
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Customer service skills including conflict resolution, teamwork, professional work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Experience working with children
- Access to transportation and current driver’s license
- Vulnerable sector police record check required
The position will start late May/early June and will last for a total of 12 weeks. Hours per week may include days, evenings and occasional Saturdays. Work sites will include both the Mary J. Benson branch downtown, our rural branch located in the Port Hope Community Hub in Canton, and various other outreach locations throughout Port Hope.
