The Municipality of Port Hope is inviting community-minded residents to apply to serve on local boards and quasi-judicial committees for the 2026–2030 term.
Local boards and quasi-judicial committees play an important role in supporting transparent, informed, and community-focused decision-making. Participation provides residents with an opportunity to share their skills, experience, and perspectives while helping guide the future direction of our community.
Residents who are interested in contributing to municipal decision-making and supporting the continued growth and well-being of Port Hope are encouraged to apply.

RenumerationPlease note that no remuneration is provided to members of the Heritage Business Improvement Area (HBIA), as service on the Board is voluntary.
AboutThe HBIA is responsible for the beautification and promotion of Downtown Port Hope as a business and shopping destination. The HBIA is also an advocate for downtown businesses and property owners with various levels of government and community stakeholders. Board meetings are held once a month, though directors are encouraged to participate in committees to support HBIA operations.

Please note that residents interested in applying for a position on the HBIA must be business owners and/or tenants of a prescribed business property class within the Heritage Business Improvement Area.
