Local boards and quasi-judicial committees play an important role in supporting transparent, informed, and community-focused decision-making. Participation provides residents with an opportunity to share their skills, experience, and perspectives while helping guide the future direction of our community.
Residents who are interested in contributing to municipal decision-making and supporting the continued growth and well-being of Port Hope are encouraged to apply.

Renumeration
Please note that no remuneration is provided to members of the Heritage Business Improvement Area (HBIA), as service on the Board is voluntary.
About
The BIA works with downtown businesses, property owners, and the Municipality to support the Heritage Business District through investment, advocacy, and beautification efforts. The BIA actively promotes the Heritage Business District as a premier destination for shopping, business, and entertainment.

Please submit your cover letter and resume via online at www.porthope.ca/careers by Friday November 6, 2026. We are looking to fill a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 vacancies. Please note that residents interested in applying for a position on the BIA must be business owners and/or tenants of a prescribed business property class within the Heritage Business Improvement Area.
