The Technical Support Associate Student role supports the Information Technology Division by assisting in maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, telecommunication services, and software applications utilized by the Municipality.

Compensation and Work Term
$18.54 to $20.11 per hour
May to August

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in College or University in an Information Technology related field.
  • Highschool or post-secondary education required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers and cellular phones.
  • Basic understanding of information technology networks.
  • Understanding and familiarity with Windows, iOS and Android operating systems
Responsibilities
  • Assist with responding to technical support requests and diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with Installing and configure hardware and software.
  • Setup and install desk phones and mobile devices.
  • Setup, configure and roll-out computers per municipal standards and guidelines.
  • Adhere to high standards of ethical behaviour and demonstrate their understanding that their personal actions impact the public’s perception of the Municipality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Information Technology or designate.
